Benefits Access for College Completion: Lessons Learned from a Community College Initiative to Help Low-Income Students

Outlines the benefits of postsecondary completion for individuals, families, and communities; challenges with completion; and a range of promising strategies to address that community colleges have been implementing to address the varied and complex reasons that keep low-income community college students from graduating. Some of these strategies connect students to support services that help them select the right courses and majors; address personal and academic barriers; prepare for a career; and accelerate through remedial education toward college-level coursework.
