Student bullying and harassment are serious issues for students, school personnel, and the overall school climate.  In this webinar, we will focus on what schools can do to support students who have been or are being bullied or harassed, bystanders who witness this behavior, and students who are engaging in harassing or bullying behavior. We will start with a presentation on the trends, impacts, and essential elements of effective solutions to bullying and harassing behavior. Then, via a panel discussion, we will highlight strategies schools are using to prevent bullying behavior and provide supports to involved students to enhance their sense of safety and teach prosocial coping skills. We will conclude the webinar by addressing questions posed by the audience.Speakers & PanelistsModerator: Cindy Carraway-Wilson, Training Specialist, NCSSLE, MEDr. Katelyn Birchfield, Program Coordinator and Implementation Support & Coaching Specialist, Youth Nex, University of Virginia, VADr. Catherine Bradshaw, Senior Associate Dean for Research, University Professor, School of Education and Human Development, University of Virginia, VAJudy French, Coordinator, PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, CALarkin Mainwaring, High School Senior, FLHannah Mills, School Counselor, Waynesboro Public Schools, VAAmy Hutcherson, School Psychologist, Waynesboro Public Schools, VADr. Kevin J.
