The educational landscape in the United States continues to face major staffing challenges, placing immense pressure on the entire educational system. In response, NCSSLE created Working Well, an initiative promoting staff well-being as a key strategy for restoring stability and fostering a positive school climate. Working Well resources were informed by a diverse array of educators and researchers from across the country.
To date these resources include: the Working Well Podcast Series, which shares educators' voices and their highly relatable experiences as they navigate personal and professional challenges and triumphs; the Working Well Resource Directory, which offers a variety of evidence-based approaches that promote staff well-being; and the Working Well Briefs and Blogs, which feature innovative programs and conversations with professionals discussing current challenges and new approaches aimed at improving the conditions for teaching.
Altogether, these resources are meant to provide both inspiration and practical tools towards cultivating a more resilient educational workforce.

Working Well Resource Directory
The Working Well Resource Directory is designed to help districts and schools promote well-being among administrators, teachers, and other staff. It derived from a series of expert roundtables, and an extensive literature scan to provide a wide range of resources, including several that address equity as it relates to well-being among special populations.
Working Well Briefs and Blogs
The Working Well Briefs and Blogs feature program models and facilitated conversations with professionals about current realities, innovations, and recommendations, all aimed at supporting the educational workforce and improving workplace conditions.
