Louisiana State University Shreveport is implementing a new federal grant that is designed to combat and prevent sexual violence on campus. According to a press release from the LSUS Media Relations team, the University has received $400,000 over a three-year period from the Office of Violence Against Women, an arm of the Department of Justice, to reduce campus sexual violence. Officials say the grant will provide funding for additional educational and prevention programming and increase available services for survivors.
