Improving College Access and Success through Dual Enrollment

Aims to expand access to students who are underserved in higher education through the College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) programs, launched in 2016 through Assembly Bill 288. Colleges see opportunities—as well as challenges—in their efforts to expand CCAP. To improve college access and success among students, colleges should align CCAP courses to transfer and program pathways, strengthen supports for online courses, and ensure students are connected to wrap-around support services. CCAP is driving growth in dual enrollment, and it can be a strategy for achieving equity in college access, enrollment, and success.
