Integrating Cybersecurity with Emergency Operations Plans for Institutions of Higher Education

Describes the importance of cybersecurity and network protection at colleges and universities. The U.S. Departments of Education, Justice, Homeland Security (DHS), and Health and Human Services created the Guide for Developing High-Quality Emergency Operations Plans for Institutions of Higher Education. ED provides an overview of the approach the Guide recommends IHEs use related to emergency operations planning. DHS provides an overview of the landscape of cyber threats facing colleges and universities, as well as DHS resources, programs, and tools to help colleges and universities maintain secure networks and prevent cyber attacks. This 1 hour webinar included a live PowerPoint presentation, as well as a Question and Answer session following the presentation.
