NASPA Online Short Course Series: Addressing Gender-Based Violence

Provides an overview of the most fundamental points that all student affairs and many other education professionals need to know about how gender-based violence in educational institutions manifests and how to address the many aspects of that violence in a way that both complies and moves beyond compliance with applicable law. The training series begins by discussing the larger context of this violence, including the moral, legal and policy mandates that higher education must meet to address this violence and comply with the law.  The courses then discuss three sets of methods by which higher education professionals and institutions should address this violence, organized according to the separate stages and urgency levels of the needs created by it.
