April 11–12, 2012 Swissôtel Chicago 323 East Wacker Drive | Chicago, ILFocus: The 2012 symposium will be focused on improving school climate in pursuit of academic excellence through effective program implementation, sustainability, fidelity, and collaboration.Objectives: • Provide technical assistance to grantees on the implementation of programs within a 3-tiered framework • Provide grantees opportunity to learn lessons from other grantee experiences on implementing programs effectively • Provide grantees opportunity to plan improved coordination between ED efforts to improve school climate and academic achievement • Meet with grantees to address technical needs of the grant and plan for improved implementationAudience: Grantees supported under the Safe and Supportive Schools Program; Building State Capacity Program; Partnerships in Character Education Program; approved Title IV State Grant Program and other state coordinators. Registration: To register, go to http://safesupportiveschools.ed.gov/register.php?eid=1354 to complete a form for each participant. Travel: Grantees should plan to travel on Tuesday, April 10th, as the meeting begins at 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 11th and will end by 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 12th, so you may travel that afternoon. Information regarding hotel registration was included with your invitation.
