The presentation will provide an understanding of food insecurity and its impact on communities, emphasizing why SNAP is a valuable resource for families and schools. The session will discuss the benefits of SNAP, the challenges in reaching eligible but unenrolled populations, and strategies to normalize access to SNAP in a health-focused setting. Participants will also learn about outreach tools and best practices, along with opportunities for partnerships and available resources to support ongoing efforts in reducing food insecurity.Objectives:Attendees will gain an understanding of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), its role in improving food security and health, and reasons why families might not participate.  Attendees will learn about resources and tools that can support outreach to families, helping them to connect with this important food program.  Attendees will be armed with best practices and practical strategies to include SNAP outreach activities in their SBHC.
