The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Office of Safe and Supportive Schools, and the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE) invites you to join our next webinar: Providing Ongoing Supports to Ensure ALL Students Are Free to Learn.
Creating school cultures that support courageous conversations and minimize othering and identity-based harassment, violence, and bullying requires ongoing work. This webinar is the fourth in the Free to Learn webinar series, which offers evidence-based practices to prevent, address, and ameliorate the effects of bullying, violence, and hate while also supporting school safety, school-based mental health, and positive school climates.
In this webinar, subject matter experts discussed strategies to shift school cultures and reduce the likelihood of identity-based bullying. They also shared Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to support students who have been targeted in identity-based harassment or bullying. Then, panelists described the approaches they are implementing in their schools and districts to reduce conflict and violence, and to shift school climates to be inclusive and accepting of all students. We finished the webinar by responding to questions posed by the audience.
