Description
This Webinar provided an in-depth review of Guiding Principle #3, Equity & Continuous Improvement of the U.S. Department of Education issued Guiding Principles: A Resource Guide for Improving School Climate and Discipline which was jointly issued by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice as part of the School Discipline Guidance Package released on January 8, 2014.
This engaging and interactive webinar walked through Guiding Principle #3 and its recommended Action Steps in detail. It also provided concrete examples of how it can be implemented. The Webinar was accompanied by a "tracking guide" for participants to use while viewing the event. The tracking guide included a short self-assessment aligned with the Action Steps of Guiding Principle #3 and a list of related resources to support implementation.

The Webinar was presented by Dr. David Osher and featured Rebecca Fitch from the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights and experts, including Drs. Russell Skiba, James Bell, and Anne Gregory.
