Local Colleges Strive to Help First-Generation Students Stay in School

First-year retention rates at Pennsylvania State System schools in the southwestern region of the state range from 69.8 percent at Edinboro University, to 73.5 percent at Clarion University, 75.6 percent at IUP, 76.7 percent at California University of Pennsylvania, and 83.3 percent at Slippery Rock University.
