Combatting crime in and around the University of Minnesota has been a challenge in recent years. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) at the University of Minnesota, which represents about 3,000 students, just completed an online survey regarding campus safety sent to fraternities and sororities, and more than 400 students responded. Of those who participated, 51% said they do not feel safe in and around campus. IFC executive vice president Luke Wittner told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS most of the concerns center on Dinkytown and it’s usually at night.
